Nanpean School visit Pendennis Castle
Prosper class had an amazing adventure to Pendennis Castle on Tuesday 28th November. We learnt all about how why Henry VIII built the castle and how it kept the country safe from invasion. We found out about the people who would work in a castle and were luckily enough to dress up in their hats! Our favourite part was getting to explore the castle. We were able to find the castle features we had been learning about such as the moat, portcullis, battlements and arrow loops. We would like to thank the Cornwall Heritage Trust for giving us such a generous grant that made this trip possible.
