Dupath Well
May 2016

Children from Pensilva School visited Dupath Well as part of the “Landmark Travels – Our Past in a Suitcase project” run by Storylines.  They enjoyed a workshop with Storylines the week before the trip and then visited Dupath Well with transport paid for by a Cornwall Heritage Trust Schools Transport Grant.  The following report is from the children:

Warleggan class trip to Dupath Well

On Thursday last week Warleggan had a visit from Ally and Sarah for a workshop about the legend of Dupath Well. We made puppets in the class and wrote our own      legends to show an audience at Dupath Well. We all enjoyed the workshop very much. Yesterday, we went by coach to Dupath Well  for the day and made candles to put in the well to say a thank you to the healing Well.

We had lunch in the farmers field and then each group  performed their puppet show in the doorway of the Well. Some of our parents came to watch as well! We then lit the candles inside the well and it looked beautiful. We then asked our puppets a question and listened to their answers!

Before we left the Dupath farm we went to stroke the lambs that were born at 6.00am in the morning and other lambs born on the 3.05.16 at 12.00am.
