Truro Cathedral and The Royal Cornwall Museum
November 2016

27 Year 4 children from St Mary’s C of E School in Penzance recently took a trip to Truro to visit the Royal Cornwall Museum and Truro Cathedral.  Their visit to the Museum covered an investigation of the Roman villa at Magor Farm near Camborne as part of their project on the Romans.  At the Cathedral they participated in a workshop which helped them to understand the importance of the Cathedral to people in Cornwall.  Nicola Bonnell, class teacher commented:  “The children had a really great time and enjoyed handling Roman artefacts and visiting such an amazing building as Truro Cathedral. It has certainly enhanced their History topic of the Romans and their RE topic of  Why is Truro Cathedral so important?”
