School NewsFrom Cornwall Heritage Trust Grants for School Transport
Carn Euny Iron Age Settlement
On Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd March 2016, thanks to the transport grant provided by the Cornwall Heritage Trust, pupils in Year 3 visited Carn Euny for a fantastic Iron Age day.
We used the trip to bring the topic to an end after a fun packed term of learning. After learning about the Iron Age during the term, we really enjoyed visiting the village- especially seeing a complete fogou. It was wonderful to visit a real life Iron Age village and do some amazing Iron Age activities.
It was the second time we have visited the site and we really enjoyed it, however, without the grant for transport provided by the Cornwall Heritage Trust, we would not have been able to afford to run the trip. It is a day we will never forget-thank you!
