We believe that engaging with the Community and inspiring residents of Cornwall and beyond to learn and understand more about their heritage is a really important part of our work. By learning more about Cornwall’s unique heritage we hope that people will become passionate about their heritage and help care for and preserve it.
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting Celebrations
Cornwall Heritage Trust will be taking part in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting Celebrations on two of our sites – Sancreed Beacon near Penzance, and Castle an Dinas near St Columb Major. For more information please visit CHT Beacon Lighting web page
Our resources include recordings from our Story Cafes and other organisations which we hope you find informative. In 2021 we began a series of virtual Story Cafes, and by the end of 2021 we began face to face events in line with government guidelines.
Our Commemorative Plaque Database We have begun a collection of commemorative plaques found throughout Cornwall, and we have asked members of the public to get in touch with photos and details if they come across plaques on their walks around Cornwall. If you spot a plaque that we haven’t recorded on our database yet, you can complete a form and upload your photos to our website.
If you would like to get involved with the Trust with future volunteering events, you can sign up to our Volunteers scheme to register your interest.
