SUMMARY:St Michael's Mount lights up for Cornwall Heritage Trust 40th Anniversary
DESCRIPTION:At dusk on Wednesday 1st April\, St Michael’s Mount will be lighting up in blue to celebrate our charity’s 40th anniversary and mark the final day of this milestone year. The Mount will remain lit until 11pm.\nCornwall Heritage Trust was officially founded on 2nd April 1985. To mark 40 years since this historic date\, the last 12 months have been filled with events\, initiatives and campaigns to celebrate the successes of the last four decades\, to raise awareness about the continued importance of our work and to ensure that its impact can keep growing for the next 40 years and many more to come. \nThank you to everyone who has been involved or taken part in some way in these celebrations. Without all of you\, we would not have had such a special year! \nIt has been such an honour to celebrate 40 years of protecting Cornwall’s heritage for everyone. With nearly 240 historic sites in Cornwall on the Heritage at Risk Register\, the impact of our charity’s work is more important than ever before. These irreplaceable monuments and landscapes urgently need their futures safeguarded and their stories shared for many generations to come. \nWe are\, therefore\, incredibly proud of our work to… \n\nRescue at-risk monuments and landscapes \nProtect and improve their archaeology\, ecology and accessibility\nShare their stories to help communities unlock the social and wellbeing benefits of connecting with their roots\nFund visits to museums\, ancient sites and historic places in Cornwall\n\n\nThe successes of the last 40 years have been made possible by our members\, supporters\, donors and volunteers. We’re hugely grateful for their support\, which remains absolutely vital in helping us protect everything that makes Cornwall special. \nAs an independent charity\, every penny from memberships\, donations\, legacies\, business partnerships and funding really does count and makes a direct and lasting impact on Cornwall’s culture\, communities and landscapes.  \n\nSupport our charity today
