We believe that engaging with children and young people and inspiring them to learn about Cornwall’s heritage is one of the most important areas of our work. That’s why as well as protecting 16 of Cornwall’s most important historic sites, we run a heritage education programme.
As part of this, we are introducing a programme of FREE discovery workshops for KS2, KS3 and KS4. These workshops aim to bring learning to life at some of our historic sites with engaging sessions designed to help students experience the past through stories, immersive outdoor learning and the chance to explore Cornwall’s heritage. These workshops are open to both schools and community groups.
The benefits…
- Engaging and inspiring learning experiences
- Using heritage sites to boost wellbeing
- Links to curriculum and/or extra-curricular/reward activities
- Enhance students’ cultural capital and understanding of local heritage
- All visits to sites and workshops at our sites are currently provided free of charge

Need support getting there?
Transport should never be a barrier to these incredible learning opportunities but we’re all too aware of how much the rising cost of petrol and vehicle hire affects schools. That’s why we offer financial support to help fund these costs for school trips to heritage sites in Cornwall.
