Here are some frequently asked questions that our new Members ask:
Should I be expecting a confirmation email?
We have been very busy over the last few weeks with new memberships and the automated emails seem to have been slightly unpredictable, for which we apologise. As long as you have your PayPal receipt which confirms your payment for the type of membership you require please take this as confirmation that your membership is active.
Can I use my Membership straightaway?
Yes, you can. You can book your visit to English Heritage sites in Cornwall online here www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/region/southwest/days-out-in-cornwall/
How do I book online to visit English Heritage sites in Cornwall?
To book online, members should go to the English Heritage website, choose the site you wish to visit and then choose the “Associated Organisations” tab; once you have chosen the number of tickets you require the next screen will prompt you to choose the organisation from a drop-down menu – you will choose “Cornwall Heritage Trust”. You will be asked to present a valid Cornwall Heritage Trust membership card on arrival or your PayPal receipt if you haven’t received your card yet.
Please note Cornwall Heritage Trust members gain free entry to Cornwall’s English Heritage sites on non-event days. However full admission and an additional cost are required on event days, such as the Legendary Joust or Pirates! at Pendennis Castle, and on some bank holidays. Please check www.english-heritage.org.uk in advance of your visit.
What if my card doesn’t arrive before my visit?
Please show your PayPal receipt at the entrance as proof of membership.
If I have signed up as a Family member, can I visit without children?
Of course, relax and enjoy yourselves!
What age is Senior Membership from?
How many people can be on a Family Membership?
Two adults and up to 12 children (as per the English Heritage membership)
I’ve joined Cornwall Heritage Trust but I don’t need the membership anymore, can I have a refund?
Cornwall Heritage Trust is a registered charity, and membership subscriptions help the Trust carry out their work to preserve and strengthen Cornwall’s heritage. We don’t offer refunds.
