We’re thrilled to see how much fun the Year 4 and 5 students from Tregony Primary School had exploring Cornwall’s mining heritage in their recent workshop with our Education and Outreach Manager, Caroline.
The children had a great time delving into Cornwall’s geology and industrial past. The big smiles really do say it all!

This is what their teachers said…
“It’s been great that the history and science were covered, but also to add a fun and creative task for the children to explore. They loved it!”
“We loved being able to engage with this learning from school. It supports us because transport can be expensive, and it’s quite a long way to places from us. Thank you!”

We offer a wide range of affordable classroom-based workshops as part of our ‘Discovery Programme’, with hands-on activities that aim to bring Cornwall’s history and heritage to life. These range from prehistoric jewellery making to exploring Cornish folklore and can cater for all ages and abilities.
Each workshop has a suggested duration of 90 minutes and is currently offered for just £3.50 per student.
