Cornwall Heritage Trust – Refunds Policy
We are very grateful for every donation that we receive. It is the generosity of our supporters that helps us to continue our work to preserve and strengthen Cornwall’s heritage.
Cornwall Heritage Trust is a charity and as such is governed by charity law (The Charities Act 2011), which means that we are not permitted to refund donations other than in specific circumstances. Should an occasion arise where we need to consider refunding a donation we may have to request permission from the Charity Commission.
If you would like to discuss your donation please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01209 707008. If you believe that you have grounds for requesting a refund of your donation please put your request in writing with as much detail as possible describing the circumstances. This should then be emailed or posted to us and marked for the attention of the CEO.
We sell a small selection of merchandise through our online shop and at events; all products are carefully chosen and of a high quality. If an item is faulty or not as described we will make a full refund to you, including any postage costs that you have incurred, as long as you notify us and return the item within 30 days of purchase.
If you have changed your mind about an item or it is “no longer required” you must advise us and return the item within 30 days of purchase. We will refund the price you paid but not the postage costs, the item must be returned in the same condition and packaging as when it was sent out. Return of the item is at your own expense.
We work really hard to ensure that our members enjoy the experience of being associated with Cornwall Heritage Trust. We hope that the membership process is straightforward and problem-free however, should you have an issue the following may be helpful.
If you applied for CHT membership online or by telephone you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days of the date of application and you will receive a refund of membership fees paid as long as you notify us of your decision within 14 days and return your membership cards and pack to us within 21 days – no refund will be made without the return of these items.
No refunds will be given for memberships bought via third parties, or for any redeemed Gift Memberships.
No refund will be given if the membership has been used to access special offers or discounted/ free access deals to sites or events run by CHT or its associates.
Life Memberships are not refundable after the 14 day period has elapsed.
To request a refund please email or telephone us within 14 days of purchase. No refunds will be issued after this time.
