“We explored the brilliant museum with its interactive exhibits. The children loved listening to stories of the telegraph workers and connecting circuits. We even got to go into the World War Two bunker, and up the old escape route. We had to climb over 100 steps! Year 3 did a sound workshop in which they made their own instruments. Year 4 got to learn morse code and send their own secret messages with lightbulbs and buzzers. All of the children had a fantastic time, and were able to explore the learning they had done in science lessons in more depth.”
This trip was made possible by Cornwall Heritage Trust’s School Transport Grants Scheme. This academic year’s grants are provided in partnership with Cornish Lithium.
