“We had an amazing visit to Penlee Gallery where we were transported back to the 19th Century to launch our Hevva Hevva topic. The children learnt all about the fishing industry as ‘Janey’ came to life from one of the Stanhope Forbes paintings. It was a hands-on experience as we got to dress up, handle artefacts and sketch some of the wonderful paintings. This launch really ignited enthusiasm for future learning, going as we did on the second day of the term.” Teacher
