Talland Class went to Wheal Martyn to learn about machinery used for clay pit mining. We had a guided tour by a former Clay pit worker and took part in a machinery workshop. We discovered how water wheels were at the heart of the mining operation and we are now going to use this learning to help us write some fantastic explanation texts.
