“We all had an amazing visit and learned lots of new information. A lady named Jane led our discovery experience and it was brilliant. We discovered all about why Henry VIII had the castles at Pendennis and St Mawes built and we re-enacted a cannon-firing defence. We found out about how Tudors dressed, ate, communicated and were treated when ill. We looked at and handled many artefacts and had the opportunity to try on some of the clothes. We explored the castle and grounds and spent some of the afternoon creating sketches of different parts of the castle and taking notes. Overall, it was an amazing experience and the children learned in a very interactive and fun way.”
