Joshua:
“On Friday 5th July we went on a trip to the Maritime Museum in Falmouth. When we were there we looked at spices and treasures from around the world. They came from the New World, Europe, Antarctica and Australia. The treasures were things like pearls, gold and blocks of silver. Then we learnt about pirate boats and made our own little boats. We raced them on the little lake in the museum. After we had lunch we looked at stories about boats from around the world and in Cornwall. It was a really fantastic and fun day.”
Danny:
“On Friday we went to the Maritime Museum. We looked an a big old map and marked the countries from around the world. Then we saw the different weapons pirates used to have. Seth showed us a flint pistol then a big sword called a cutlass. Then we went upstairs to make our own boats and we learnt what the different parts of a boat are called. After that we raced them on the little lake and I came 2nd. After lunch we went down under the ground to see all the fish and to the very top of the tower to look through the telescope. It was a fun and exciting day.”
