“Thanks to the Cornwall Heritage Trust school transport grant, Class two were able to visit Geevor Tin Mine as a climax to our Summer Term project on Cornwall. We explored the history of tin mining in Cornwall with our experienced and friendly guides. We got to go down an old mine, try a bit of mining ourselves and pan for gold!!
This is the second time that Cornish Heritage Trust have helped us to provide interesting and informative school visits for the children so they can appreciate the rich history that Cornwall has to offer.”
