Much of the site is designated a Scheduled Monument and all of it is within the Cornish Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. \nThe site has a multi-period archaeological landscape which includes a wide range of historic monuments\, while the summit of the hill is crowned spectacularly by the hillfort known in legend as Castle Pencair. \n\nOnce you’ve booked\, we’ll send you a reminder email closer to the event with everything you need to know\, including directions\, timings and other practical information. \n\nThis event is part of the Council for British Archaeology’s annual Festival of Archaeology\, and in aid of Cornwall Heritage Trust – the independent charity protecting Cornwall’s heritage for everyone.
