Thank you for your interest in being part of Awenek 2026!
We are seeking high quality food vendors to feed the visitors to our festival and are looking for options which feature Cornish produce; we are particularly interested if they feature traditional foods or a twist on the traditional.
Key event information:
- Date: Saturday 12th September 2026, 10am – 5pm
- Set up times: Friday 12pm – 4pm &/or Saturday 8am – 9am
- Venue: Enys Gardens, St Gluvias, Penryn, TR10 9LB
- Participation Fee: There is a set fee to participate in this event as a Food Trader of £150.00. This is payable at the point your application is confirmed as successful and no later than 30th June 2026.
- Expected attendee numbers: c.1,000 based on 2025 attendance of 1,000
- Application deadline: Friday 17th April 2026
We will choose our preferred vendors based on fit with the festival’s Cornish heritage theme, value for money, use of Cornish produce and variety of options. We will do our best to ensure that we have the appropriate number of traders for the expected attendees and that there is no duplication of offering. We will also check out your business online and on social media.

To express your interest in attending the festival as a food vendor, please complete and submit the Food Trader Application Form below by Friday 17th April 2026. We will consider all the applications and come back to you with a decision by Friday 1st May 2026.

Food Traders Application Form - "Awenek" The Great Cornish Heritage Festival at Enys Gardens 2026
Terms and Conditions:
Thank you for your interest in attending Awenek! as an approved food vendor.
If selected, you will be required to:
- Provide all requested documentation ahead of the event, which will include:1. Health and safety risk assessment (to include, where applicable, the use of gas appliances, ovens etc)
2. Safety certificates for any electrical and gas appliances and generators where applicable
3. Public and Employer’s Liability Insurance documents
4. Food hygiene certificate
5. Local Authority Food Registration details - Pay a traders’ fee of £150 by 30th June 2026
- If electric is required, pay the required fee for electricity by 30th June 2026
- Be open and ready to trade throughout the duration of the festival (10am to 5pm)
- All vehicles must be removed from the site by 9am
- No movement of vehicles will be permitted on-site while the festival is open, no exceptions
- Provide all equipment and facilities necessary to trade
- Have a wet weather plan in place
- Remove all waste and rubbish from site
- Leave the site as you found it
- Comply with the instructions of the event organisers (Cornwall Heritage Trust and Enys Gardens) – their decision is final
Please note that:
- Submission of an application does not guarantee a place – you will be notified by Friday 1st May 2026 to let you know if you are successful and how to make payment
- Your place will only be confirmed once you have made payment for your pitch
- Further instructions and requests for information will be issued prior to the event
- The decision to cancel the event due to bad weather is the responsibility of the organisers, if a trader decides not to attend due to bad weather but the event goes ahead no refund of fees will be made
- No refund will be made if a trader cancels within 31 days before the event
- We will endeavour to fulfil everyone’s requirements but decisions on pitch location are made by the organisers and no refund will be made if a trader is unhappy with their location
- Where possible we would be grateful if you could please use environmentally friendly consumables
- Cornwall Heritage Trust will be taking photos/ video clips during the day for promotional purposes
- Cornwall Heritage Trust will keep your information on file and share details of any other events that they think may interest you
