Historic Sites Fund
Our new Historic Sites Fund supports the acquisition and management of historic sites across Cornwall.
When we set our targets in 2021 for the number of sites we could sustainably acquire, we aimed to take on one per year. In reality, we’ve taken five historic places into our care in the last two years because when a site is uncared for or at risk, we will do everything we can to safeguard its future. That means the collection of sites we own has almost doubled in that time and takes the number we now care for to 16. It’s a huge increase to our portfolio which is only going to keep on growing. If a historic site needs protecting, we want to help and that’s why your support is vital in making this happen.
Every penny you donate to our Historic Sites Fund will go towards purchasing and managing historic Cornish sites which need our help. As a small, independent charity, every penny counts and any donation, big or small, makes a huge difference.
General donations
If you would like to donate to Cornwall Heritage Trust, we have made it easy by offering a couple of ways to make the payment. Please complete the Donation Form on the right, in order that we have your contact details. Then you can either make an online donation, or BACs payment or by cheque.
Online Donations
To make an Online Donation, please complete the Donations form, which will then take you to the payment processing. You should receive an email confirmation of your donation. If you don’t receive an automated email, please get in touch with us by emailing info@cornwallheritagetrust.org to let us know.
Alternative methods to make a donation
Alternatively, you can use one of these payment methods:
- By post – Please make cheques payable to The Cornwall Heritage Trust Ltd. Our address is GO3, The Percy Williams Building, Krowji, West Park, Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 3AJ.
- By electronic transfer – please get in touch for details, info@cornwallheritagetrust.org.
- Over the telephone – Please feel free to call our office on 01209 707008 with your card details if you would prefer.
- By text to 70085 – Text CHT5DONATE to donate £5, or text CHT10DONATE to donate £10.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer we may collect Gift Aid on your donation with your consent. The Gift Aid Scheme enables the Trust to claim a further 25% without any additional cost to you!

- Supporting projects and activities organised throughout Cornwall and beyond through our grants scheme.
- Engaging and inspiring young people to learn more about Cornwall’s heritage through our very successful education programme, this includes our very popular Schools Transport Grants.
- Continuing our work to promote Cornwall’s heritage is at the heart of everything that we do. We strive to engage and educate Cornwall’s communities through our attendance at events and activities such as the Junior Gig Racing, Cornish Wrestling and Royal Cornwall Show.
