An important iron age promontory fort – a rare estuarine example and a unique part of Cornish history, it consists of a round enclosure with two large ramparts cutting off the promontory.
With more visitors to the area the fort is subject to damage and erosion. You can help prevent such damage by keeping to the surfaced paths.
It is illegal to camp or light a fire on the monument as this can damage or destroy the archaeology.
