Terms and Conditions
- Cornwall Heritage Trust’s 40th Anniversary Community Logo Competition (the “Competition”) is being organised by The Cornwall Heritage Trust Ltd (Company no.1901905)
- The Competition is open to all UK residents aged between 5 and 16 years of age except the children or close relatives of employees and trustees of Cornwall Heritage Trust.
- All entrants must have a responsible adult submitting on their behalf.
- Cornwall Heritage Trust reserves the right to request proof of age for entrants as well as parent’s or guardian’s consent. Only one entry per person may be submitted.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
- By entering this competition, the parents/guardian of an entrant is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions when consenting to the application of the relevant entrant.

- Design a logo which will form the basis of the Cornwall Heritage Trust’s 40th Anniversary Community Logo

- Entry is via the entry form only at www.cornwallheritagetrust.org/logocompetition
- If using a computer programme to produce an entry, the design must still be all the entrant’s own work. Materials such as clip art or photographs/internet images will disqualify the entry.
- If entrants submit more than one entry, we will judge the first entry received and disregard the others.
- The entry must be the entrant’s own original work and not defame nor breach any copyright or contain anything that could be deemed offensive.
- All submissions must include: the entrant’s name, age, date of birth, address including postcode, school, parent/guardian’s name and a contact telephone number which can be filled in on the appropriate sections of the website entry form. Entrants should ask their parent/guardian’s permission to enter the Competition and ensure that they have read the Terms and Conditions. This must be confirmed by completing the tick box on the entry form.

Entry forms can be downloaded here. Entries without an entry form will be disregarded. - Entries must be RECEIVED by no later than 12noon on Friday 27th September 2024. Late, incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- The winning entries will be used for promotional purposes by Cornwall Heritage Trust; permission is granted by the entrant and their parent/guardian through entry to the competition.
- A prize will be awarded to the winner of each age category and will consist of: £200 in Art or Library supplies for the winner’s school and a £30 voucher for National Book Tokens, Merlin Cinema or Whirlwind Sports for the winner themselves
- Cornwall Heritage Trust may need to make minor reasonable modifications to the winning logo designs, however the design which features as the 40th Anniversary Community Logo shall recognisably be the winning design of the Competition.
- The prizes will be as stated. The prizes cannot be transferred and there is no cash alternative.
- The winner and top entries will be notified in October 2024 by email, as per the contact details provided in their entry. In the event of the winner being unable to be contacted, after reasonable attempts have been made, Cornwall Heritage Trust reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner-up who will be ranked in order of merit but it is not obliged to do so.
- Cornwall Heritage Trust’s decision as to the winners is final. No correspondence relating to the Competition will be entered into.
- Cornwall Heritage Trust reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible.
- The winners and their parent/guardian agree to the use of the entrant’s name and age in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party.
- Cornwall Heritage Trust will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering the Competition and in accordance with its Privacy & Cookies Policy. Cornwall Heritage Trust will not publish them or provide them to anyone without permission. - Cornwall Heritage Trust shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions; such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
- Cornwall Heritage Trust also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
- The prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
