Long Bow Making Workshop

Discover the traditional craft of bow making in the spectacular setting of Castle an Dinas, one of Cornwall’s finest Iron Age hillforts.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the techniques used for centuries to craft wooden bows, gaining an appreciation for the skill, patience and craftsmanship required to create these remarkable tools. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll work with traditional materials and methods as you shape your own bow and explore the history of archery and bow making.
Whether you’re interested in traditional crafts, ancient technologies or practical heritage skills, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from an expert and take part in a craft with roots stretching back thousands of years.
This event is in aid of Cornwall Heritage Trust – the independent charity protecting Cornwall’s heritage for everyone.

- This workshop will take place outdoors for the duration of the day. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear appropriate for the weather conditions.

About Devon & Cornwall Bushcraft:
This workshop will be delivered by Devon & Cornwall Bushcraft. Founded by experienced instructor Jono Holland, the organisation specialises in traditional outdoor skills, ancient technologies and hands-on heritage experiences. Jono is an NCFE-qualified Bushcraft Leader with extensive experience delivering courses and events across the South West.
