A lasting tribute to one of Cornwall’s most iconic birds.
Handmade in Cornwall by local potter Julia Crimmen, these charming ceramic choughs capture the character of the bird that has become a symbol of Cornwall.
Every purchase helps us protect Cornwall’s ancient places and the wildlife that calls them home.
Each chough is individually modelled by hand, giving it its own unique personality and ensuring that no two are exactly alike. Julia paints every bird with underglaze colours before applying a glossy transparent glaze. Delicate aluminium wire legs and a beech wood base complete each piece.
