Castilly Henge Fundraising Appeal Terms and Conditions
1. About the Appeal
Cornwall Heritage Trust (“the Trust”) is conducting a fundraising appeal to raise £50,000 towards the acquisition of Castilly Henge, an important historic site in Cornwall which is currently at risk due to invasive vegetation. This appeal supports our mission to protect and preserve Cornwall’s heritage through the ownership and management of historic sites.
Your donation will help us to rescue Castilly Henge, secure its future through active management and enable the public to visit it for free all year round. Thank you so much for your support.
2. Use of Funds
Donations received through this appeal will be used to support the purchase and protection of Castilly Henge; this will include but is not limited to the following: cost of acquisition, legal fees, and associated project expenses.
i. Surplus Funds
Should we surpass our target of £50,000 we will use the surplus to support the Trust’s charitable objectives to preserve and strengthen Cornwall’s heritage.
ii. If Less Than £50,000 is Raised
Cornwall Heritage Trust is committed to the acquisition of Castilly Henge. Your donation will help us to use the charity’s funds in the best possible way to fulfil our charitable objectives. Any shortfall will be underwritten by the Trust’s reserves, however, this may impact our work in other areas and so we are very grateful for the support of the public with this appeal.
3. If the Purchase Does Not Go Ahead
Should the purchase of Castilly Henge fail for any reason we will designate the funds raised for the acquisition of another historic site in the future.
4. Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax payer you may be eligible to Gift Aid your donation, this means that the Trust can claim 25p of tax for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you. To find out more about Gift Aid please click here.
5. Refunds
Donations are non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us within 14 days of the transaction.
