Awenek! is Cornwall Heritage Trust’s annual one-day festival, packed with an array of hands-on activities, demonstrations, re-enactments, performances and exhibits that showcase everything that makes Cornwall special. Our Awenek! performers are key in helping make the event a true celebration of Cornish traditions and heritage in all its forms.
If you would like to participate in Awenek! 2026 as an Performer, we invite you to please complete the registration form below.
Key event information:
- Date: Saturday 12th September 2026, 10am – 5pm
- Set up times: Friday 12pm – 4pm &/or Saturday 8am – 9am
- Venue: Enys Gardens, St Gluvias, Penryn, TR10 9LB
- Expected attendee numbers: c.1,000 based on 2025 attendance of 1,000
- Registration deadline: Tuesday 30th June 2026

To register your interest in attending the festival as a Performer, please complete and submit the Performer Registration Form below by Tuesday 30th June 2026. We will consider all the submissions and come back to you with confirmations by Friday 31st July 2026.

Performers Registration Form - "Awenek" The Great Cornish Heritage Festival at Enys Gardens 2026
Terms and Conditions:
Thank you for your interest in attending Awenek! as a Performer.
If selected, you will be required to:
- Provide all requested documentation ahead of the event, which will include:
1. Health and safety risk assessment
2. Safety certificates for any electrical and gas appliances and generators where applicable
3. Public and Employer’s Liability Insurance documents - Be ready to perform at your pre-allocated slot(s) throughout the duration of the festival (10am to 5pm)
- All vehicles must be removed from the site by 9am
- No movement of vehicles will be permitted on-site while the festival is open, no exceptions
- Provide all equipment and facilities necessary to perform
- Have a wet weather plan in place
- Remove all waste and rubbish from site
- Leave the site as you found it
- Comply with the instructions of the event organisers (Cornwall Heritage Trust and Enys Gardens) – their decision is final
Please note that:
- Submission of a registration does not guarantee a performance place – you will be notified by Friday 31st July 2026 to let you know if you are successful
- Further instructions and requests for information will be issued prior to the event
- We will endeavour to fulfil everyone’s requirements but final decisions on performance location are made by the organisers
- Cornwall Heritage Trust will be taking photos / video clips during the day for promotional purposes
- Cornwall Heritage Trust will keep your information on file and share details of any other events that they think may interest you
