Price: £12 per person
Located on the summit of Castle Downs near St Columb Major, this imposing hilltop monument dates from around the second and third centuries BCE. Hillforts like this are thought to have been a focus for the community, symbols of the wealth and power of the tribe, and a central place for social ceremonies, trade and ritual.
This hour-long guided walk will take you on a whistle-stop tour of the site’s fascinating history and introduce you to the myths and legends surrounding it.
The walk will be led by Cornwall Heritage Trust’s Sites Officer and Archaeologist, Dick Cole and places are limited to just 15 so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
