We believe that engaging with children and young people and inspiring them to learn about Cornwall’s heritage is one of the most important areas of our work. That’s why as well as protecting 16 of Cornwall’s most important historic sites, we run a heritage education programme.
The programme includes FREE workshops at our historic sites and classroom workshops. These are open to children in workshops for KS2, KS3 and KS4.
Inspiring learning led by a former history teacher with 25 years of experience
Our Education and Outreach Manager, Caroline Davey, has a professional background firmly rooted in history education and has been inspiring Cornwall’s students for over two decades. Caroline leads all of our site visits and workshops and relishes the opportunity to pass on Cornwall’s story to the next generation.
She has created our Discovery Programme with the school curriculum in mind to ensure that visits and workshops enrich classroom-based learning and will tailor each session to suit your students’ abilities and needs.
Caroline’s role is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
