About the day
Nancealverne is a Grade II* listed Georgian country house near Penzance set within more than 20 acres of parkland, formal gardens and woodland. Following its recent transfer into the care of Cornwall Heritage Trust, plans are now being developed to secure its long-term future and explore how the site can best be shared with the community.
To help us shape these plans, we’re inviting Cornwall Heritage Trust members to step inside the historic Nancealverne estate for a special consultation open day. You will have the opportunity explore the site and share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions for how the house and grounds could be used, interpreted and developed in the years ahead.
You will be able to enjoy a circular self-guided walking route around the gardens and grounds, and timed guided tours of Nancealverne House will be running throughout the day. House tours are free but must be booked separately in advance due to limited capacity – see Ticket info below.
Tea, coffee and cake will be available during the event, and members Cornwall Heritage Trust’s staff and volunteer teams will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and gather feedback.
