Learn about the rich tapestry of tales and traditions associated with the signs of the season in Cornwall and explore the enchanting stories that places like this have inspired across the centuries.
The walk will be led by Cornwall Heritage Trust’s Countryside Ranger, Andrew.
Located near St Austell, this 19th-century viaduct was designed to carry both a tramway and a high-level water channel (known as a leat) across the Luxulyan Valley for local mining entrepreneur Joseph Thomas Treffry. Once a hive of industrial activity, the site has very much been reclaimed by nature and is home to a wealth of flora, fauna and historic remains.
The walk involves uneven ground, steps and slopes. Please wear sensible footwear and appropriate clothing.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
This event is in aid of Cornwall Heritage Trust.

The site can be reached by car or by train via Luxulyan train station, on the Atlantic Coast railway branch line between Par and Newquay.
