All over Cornwall, there are special places that are uncared for and at risk. But with your help, we can continue to save these sites, improve them and share them free of charge with everyone.
From ancient stone circles and imposing hillforts to a 19th-century viaduct hidden in an idyllic valley and a medieval dovecote tucked between suburban houses, the historic places we’ve taken into our care over the last 40 years are inspiring and truly unique.
These places offer Cornwall’s communities spaces where they can connect with the shared cultural landscape we call our heritage.
Without our guardianship, many would be uncared for and at risk – some perhaps lost forever.
But protecting and sharing these assets so they can continue to flourish and inspire the next generation comes at a price. In the financial year 2023-24, we spent over £110,000 protecting and managing Cornwall’s historic sites, and that figure is only going to keep on growing.
Starting from £1500, you can make a lasting impact by investing in one of Cornwall’s incredible heritage sites, from imposing feats of industrial engineering to historic landscapes which people have been drawn to for thousands of years. An investment in Cornwall’s heritage is an investment in Cornwall’s future. Together, we can preserve and strengthen this precious asset for many generations to come.
